Using third-party USB Type-C cables to charge the Galaxy Note 7 could definitely be causing the explosions, but Samsung understandably is not taking any risks and has chose to test the smartphone anew.
The Galaxy Note 7 is Samsung’s latest flagship device and features a new symmetrical-edge design, a water-resistant body and a new S Pen that has a smaller 0.7mm tip compared to its predecessor. We’ve reached out to Samsung for comment and for better clarity about what these delays mean.
Among those who have offered warnings against non-compliant chargers and connectors is Benson Leung, a Google engineer who has posted online reviews of peripherals to help users avoid safety and performance issues.
Samsung responded swiftly by acquiring the damaged phones for testing.
For more breaking information about what’s happening with the Samsung phone, stay tuned to Cam’s original report. The phone’s release has already been slowed in Korea, and while the company was going to exchange the batteries for free, a bigger push could be in the works.
Shares of Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the parts unit, also saw a modest decline, 2.4 percent and 2.26 percent, respectively. Nevertheless, Samsung has chose to withhold the Note 7 shipments until the device has been thoroughly tested and cleared by the quality control team.

In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but if you were thinking of getting the Galaxy Note 7, maybe hold off on buying one just yet until this issue has been resolved. Samsung has indeed traced the explosions to the battery of the device and is in talks with Verizon and other USA business partners to figure out how to deal with the issue.
