Samsung files trademark for Gear S3 Frontier
But that’s not all we’ve heard, as the same source claims that the Gear S3 will have a rotary bezel, which means you can expect the face to be circular, as with its predecessor, and for the bezel to rotate, giving you an intuitive way to scroll through menus. Nothing has leaked yet about the improvements Samsung will introduce in the Gear S3 over the Gear S2 unveiled in 2015.

For the unfamiliar, the IFA is an annual consumer electronics trade event.
IFA takes place every year in Berlin, in the month of September. An exact unveil date has yet to be confirmed, though Samsung previously used the stage to launch its flagship Galaxy Note handsets. For the Gear S3, Samsung will be taking the same approach.
So, the Galaxy Note 7 is about to be revealed next week and you might be wondering – will Samsung have anything new to show at the upcoming IFA event? Rumors have also been rife that the company is set to unwrap a new tablet from the Galaxy Tab S3 family on September 1. In the case of Samsung Gear S family of devices, the Gear S2 was hyped the reveal of the device in August and revealed it around the same time as SamMobile reports for the Gear S3.
The Gear S3 follow-up smartwatch will debut at IFA 2016, sporting a classic design and a rotary bezel just like its predecessor, the Gear S2.
For those wondering what objective the rotary bezel serves, on the current-gen Gear S2 it can be deployed to navigate through the menu.
