Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ (2960×1440 pixels) Super Amoled “Infinity” display with 521ppi.
Official mention of a Galaxy with a foldable screen is a first for the Samsung executive.
Samsung is planning to roll out a new smartphone next year featuring a screen that folds like a wallet – the first of its kind among smartphones, according to The Guardian. Multiple sources are reporting that Samsung has stated it plans on making the Galaxy Note foldable in 2018. Details surrounding the foldable display from Samsung are still light. “Samsung Display is expected to commercialize foldable phones in 2019 because the company does not need to sell the new hardware because it is already enjoying 20 percent of operating profits with bezel-free display”.
For, at least, the past two years, there have been rumors about the company and its foldable smartphone. He did not say when the speaker will hit the market.
Samsung may be the most popular smartphone maker out there now, but has faced severe competition from the likes of Apple in a congested consumer market. There are also other companies who have jumped into the bendable screen bandwagon such as LG and Lenovo who have each developed their own concept bendable screens as well.
While Samsung has happily mentioned suggestions about the folding phone over time, the date of a possible commercial release was never given. Last year, images of what the phone – dubbed “Galaxy X” – could potentially look like surfaced on SamMobile.

It has been reported that the on-the-air update already arrived in Russian Federation and Samsung Galaxy A5 owners have already posted videos online with their upgrade. “Existing Samsung users can see the value of their phone on the app for exchange and upgrade”, ET quoted Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.
