Superlatives abound in Note 7 reviews. The phablet goes on sale today in select markets such as the US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, and Samsung’s home market of South Korea.

Here’s what makes the Galaxy Note 7 such an enticing phone.
Of note is the fact of the Galaxy Note 7’s label, which might confuse users of prior Samsung Galaxy Note devices for the fact that it actually skipped a number from the preceding Galaxy Note 5.
The Note 7 suffered some scratches and the drop added to the damage on the back of the phone, with the glass cracking even more.
The new tablet features a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and 216 PPI. The side drop didn’t cause any damage for the Note 7 or the iPhone 6s.
RAM will be at 4GB, while internal storage is fixed at 64GB, with no other storage options. That’s quite a feat, for a device that comes with, well, so many opening slots. It also dons a 3500 mAh non-removable battery, which the company claims to be capable of up to 14 hours of Internet usage time.
Samsung underestimated demand for the Blue Coral and Silver Titanium versions of the Galaxy Note 7, and so customers in the US and Canada who ordered those models may have to wait up to three weeks for their unit. According to the industry analysts at UBI Reasearch, “Samsung Display showcased a 5.5 ultra-high definition 4K display with a pixel of 806 ppi for virtual reality devices at the Society for Information Display, a display trade show in California in March”. The new iris camera and dedicated infrared LED let Note7 users unlock their phones with a glimpse at the iris scanner. “I suspect this phone will sell very well, but mostly because of people upgrading from earlier Samsung devices and to some extent other Android devices, rather than because it drives lots of switching from iOS”.
