While there might be some argument that the price of Samsung Galaxy S and Note series has gone up since the introduction of a premium glass and metal design, this still doesn’t justify such a huge price tag. Just a week ago after its new version of TouchWiz being made surface online, the South Korean manufacturer chose to take a strategic move to release the TouchWiztoNote 5 beta testers in South Korea.

The new, much-expected Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset for the United States and Canada markets, while the models developed for the global market are said to be equipped with an Exynos 8893 CPU.

While it clearly has curved edges to the screen on both sides, they don’t seem as pronounced as the Edge-branded phone. Samsung will allow everyone to witness the live telecast of their unveiling of Note 7 via their official website. The Note 7 will be unveiled at an event in New York City on 2nd August 2016 commencing at around 8:30pm IST. That’s why rumors that the Note 7 will be fully water-resistant are such good news for business users. A name like the Note 6 would give the impression of last year’s technology, and Samsung wants to avoid that. Explaining the “new naming” Samsung said, “There are a couple reasons why”. First, the Galaxy Note 7 will complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unify our product portfolio. Samsung has been smart enough to have two very well established flagship devices – the Samsung Galaxy S series of smartphones and Samsung Galaxy Note series of smartphone phablets.

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet and speculations over the phablet’s specs & features are still up for debate.
