South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co Ltd expects sales for its new Galaxy Note 7 smartphone to exceed those of the previous version launched a year ago, the head of the company’s mobile business said. The device also has fingerprint scanning as Samsung is focusing on improving biometric authentication. Since the specs are largely the same between the Note 7 and the S7 series, Samsung is differentiating its larger flagship with features. They also share the same 12 megapixel rear camera.

Samsung has also updated its software interface on the Galaxy Note 7, where The Verge reports it has a “cleaner color palette, softer white menus, and an overall nicer-looking aesthetic”. But with the Galaxy S7 Edge almost matching the Galaxy Note 7 in size, what does the Note have to differentiate itself?
The phablet also sports 5.7in quad HD screen and smooth curved display.

For the UK, Vodafone, O2, GiffGaff, Three and EE will have the Note 7 in stock with no official pricing yet. Now, it won’t get stuck even if you jam it in backwards.

Other features the Note 7 has that the S7 Edge does not are the USB-C charger port, the S Pen and its new software features, the iris scanner and the Coral Blue variant. Not just this, customers will also get $20 worth of rewards on the first qualifying purchase with Samsung Pay. The S Pen is 108-mm long and has a 0.7-mm tip, which is smaller and more accurate than its predecessor on the Galaxy Note 5 by 2.6mm and 0.9mm, respectively. A “silver titanium” version will be available soon, according to Samsung.
