The phone launched in South Korea and other markets on August 19.
On top of exploding batteries, the company announced last week that it was delaying Note 7 shipments due to “quality” testing, but they didn’t say exactly what the issues were.
Reports suggest that the phone has been catching fire while in use, with some users claiming that the handset’s battery exploded while charging.
Samsung, which has suspended the phone’s shipments since early this week, has tentatively concluded that the faulty batteries may have caused the accidents.
Samsung’s shares have fallen as a result of the delayed shipment.
Could it be exploding batteries?
Vice President of IT & Mobile Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, Conor Pierce previously commented on the huge success of the Galaxy Note 7. In the meantime, if you own a Galaxy Note 7 keep it far away when sleeping, and always charge it with the charger that came out of the box.
It is unusual for Samsung to confirm a delay in sales of a device.
It could potentially be disastrous if Samsung does discover a flaw that would mean a full recall of the Galaxy Note 7. Images and videos of damaged Galaxy Note 7 devices have been circulating around the internet and have already led Samsung to delay shipments of the device.
“Samsung will need to respond to this quickly in order to calm market jitters”, he said.

Although Samsung has never said exactly why it has made these decisions with its branding, it could be related to lasting hostile East Asian relations that can be traced back to World War II. Samsung’s success may also be bolstered further by the fact that the iPhone 7 may offer little in the way of improvements over its predecessor, at least according to rumours.
