The Galaxy Note Unpacked 2016 event will be held in NY (8:30 PM IST) and there will be simultaneous events in Rio de Janeiro and London. The Note 7, however, will likely borrow much of its technology from the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models, which have been selling well. A new report claims it will also release the smartphone on the same day. Neither Samsung nor any other reputable sources have confirmed whether or not the Note 7 would force only one version on consumers. In terms of setting the device apart from the already hit Galaxy S7, Note’s curved Edge display could be the only saving grace on the looming device. However, there are talks on the rumors mills about the proposed new features, which will be integrated with the Galaxy Note 7.
The Galaxy Note 7 is also expected to feature stylus support and Samsung’s special Note software in addition to its typical TouchWiz launcher.
The breakthrough feature on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be an iris scanner.
Samsung is gearing up for a busy August, as it will launch its next-generation Galaxy Note 7 and take part in the 2016 Rio Olympics as one of the game’s biggest sponsors. Based on the new mobile storage format the company just released, the UFS cards are said to have faster read and write speeds, but may not be compatible with the current microSD card sockets. They also show the setup screen and directions for setting up irises on the device.
According to an article in the verge.com, Samsung has recently revealed plans to officially announce the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. Further, it is expected to come in three variants blue coral, titanium and black onyx- all thanks to its leaked photos.
