Samsung may be planning to completely ditch the flat-screen model from its upcoming Galaxy S8 in favor of a dual-edge display.
The biggest difference between the two is the Note 7’s S-Pen stylus. Before Koh replached Shin as Samsung’s mobile boss, Shin reinvigorated interest in the Galaxy line by releasing the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, a pair of handsets that traded plastic materials for a premium construction using glass and metal.

Apple has planned a redesign in progress for the fall of 2017 which also happens to be the 10 anniversary of the device. Samsung says that it plans to put more focus on smartphone models with the curved screen in the future.

Still, the Note7 does have some differences from other models that Samsung is banking on drawing interest from users. The company has not said when it is coming to Arabian shores.
