“If Samsung fails to meet its own promise, then the legal tussle will be continued and expanded.” On its website, Samsung China said it will allow customers to preloaded unwanted applications on all of its smartphones going forward, including the latest Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Now, Samsung is suggesting that it might reduce the prices of the phones to charge sales.

Operating profit also shrank 4.03 percent from a year ago to 6.9 trillion won, while sales dropped 7.3 percent to 48.5 trillion won. Apple mobile division’s revenues rose by 59% as compared to 2014 and 47.5 million iPhones were shipped in the quarter. The quarter’s profit was 2.8 trillion won, down nearly 38 percent on the same period of 2014.
“We will launch new high-end smartphones to maintain the current sales momentum”. Right now, the S6 is available for roughly $699 off-contract, with its edge twin being $100 more.
Other specifications on the handset will include 8GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot and a 4.7 megapixel camera, the handset is also expected to come with a 2 megapixel front camera. There’s no word yet on the exact prices for the existing Galaxy S6 models, but it should be just a matter of weeks…
The Korean tech giant announced an 8 per cent drop in second-quarter net profits at the company’s conference call on the day as its smartphone business remained sluggish on lackluster Galaxy S6 sales. For the IT & Mobile Communication (IM) sector, the improvement of performance was limited due to the falloff in sales of low-end smartphones and the increased marketing costs for new products, even with the launch of the Galaxy S6.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge with a wraparound screen received rave reviews, but company predictions of record sales fell short of expectations, partly due to production and supply constraints.

These models are expected to be the much rumoured and leaked Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge Plus, which will compete with Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. Samsung’s market share in that category also fell, according to IDC.
