Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge deep dive – is it really waterproof?
Last Sunday, the guys at Samsung officially introduced the public to their latest and greatest flagship smartphones, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The back is flat but the edges curves slightly and like the Galaxy S7 it looks distinctly premium, though arguably a bit plain. Last year, on the Japanese market, officials of the South Korean phone maker decided it would be good idea that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge won’t feature the Samsung logo.

The LG G5 smartphone features a removable 2,800 mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 has a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery, CNET reported. The Samsung Galaxy S7, on the other hand, has a 5.1-inch Quad HD display but the resolution is similar to that of the LG G5. But the Samsung Galaxy S7 is perhaps the more promising all-rounder, with a more stylish design and a bigger battery.
Samsung already has its own VR headset, while LG is coming out with one.
It is not clear why Samsung thinks its phone will be so successful.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade will bring new features like the Google Now on Tap, which provides more accurate information to users and the Doze Mode, which enhances the device’s battery performance on standby mode. Both the Galaxy S7 and the iPhone 6s have 12-megapixel rear shooters and 5-megapixel front cameras. But one of the most important ones that’s flown under the radar is its embrace of adoptable storage. But both Samsung and LG have disabled this feature on their new flagships, which means that users can only install apps onto the internal storage. Before this date, there is still some time for you to check out whether you really need to get this phone or stick with the older Galaxy S6 or even S5.
Samsung added that the new adoptable storage option for the Android Marshmallow platform is geared for devices with low internal storage capacities.

All four carries are offering the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge at full retail price, or for $0 upfront with monthly payment. The phone will be able to create VR content as well as show a live preview of what the 360 camera is seeing.
