Samsung Galaxy S7 edge preorder extended

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are finally releasing this week and we’ve been seeing a big uptick in the number of hands-on videos of the device popping up around the web. This suggests that, before switching the USB port back on, the Samsung Galaxy S7 features some mechanism that checks for the port to be completely dry. The phones will go on sale in the United States and UK on March 11, 2016.

Samsung has provided a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display panel on the Galaxy S7 while the Galaxy S7 edge sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display.

T-Mobile had made early deliveries of the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge past year as well. Samsung has bundled both the phones with an Always-on display which lets you see the date and time along with all your notifications without having to unlock your device for the same.

Samsung has opted to introduce the Snapdragon 820 variant fo the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in China, not the Exynos 8890 variant.

A great aspect of the two handsets is the fact that Samsung waterproofed and dustproofed the S7 phones by sealing it from the inside, making them match IP68 standards. From 2/23/16 through 3/18/16 customers who buy one of the company’s new smartphones from a participating retailer can also receive a free Gear VR headset and six game bundle.

The two devices, apart from the chipset variants, have a staggering 4GB RAM boost along with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a micro SD card to 200GB. A water-resistant feature is included on both new Galaxy phones.

According to Samsung, the 12 MP rear camera, which is equipped with an aperture of f/1.7, dual pixel technology and optical image stabilisation, will offer unparalleled low-light performance.

AnTuTu’s findings also show that the Snapdragon 820-powered Galaxy S7 will be more powerful than Apple’s most recent devices the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
