Samsung Galaxy S7 To Release On 21 February

After messing up with the Android Lollipop updates on their devices a year ago, it is rather unsurprising that Samsung is slipping up for the latest Android update. This device will come with a 5.5-inch QHD screen that features a curved-edge design to match with its Edge moniker.

The phone is also shown on a wireless charging pad, suggesting the Galaxy S7 will also have wireless charging powers, just like its predecessor.

Teaser videos and images for the Galaxy S7 recently surfaced on an official Samsung Indonesia website.

The non-removable batteries are expected to continue, however, we may see the battery capacity increase from 2550mAh and 2600mAh to 3000mAh and 3600mAh for the S7 and S7 edge respectively.

The leaked photos indicate that Galaxy S7 will be nearly similar in appearance as the previous models.

The video also shows the phone being placed on a wireless charging pad. It has been rumored that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge would use this new camera technology.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs will be announced officially by Samsung on February 22.

While Samsung has been notoriously slow in the past at providing software updates to its devices, the company has worked at improving in recent years.

The phone is expected to release with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, along with two variants based on processors – either the Samsung owned Exynos 8890, or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.

A lot of smartphone makers have already released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for their yesteryear flagships. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is moreover said to include more than 200 emojis.
