Samsung Galaxy S8 live images, specs, launch date, price leaked

This year Samsung is going for two different sized variants; one of them will have 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Display while the other one will come with 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Display. Power is set to be supplied by a 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery for the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch models, respectively. There are no surprises hidden in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and unless Samsung comes up with some spectacular new feature, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be a marginal upgrade in some features and outstanding in the others. Previously, Samsung has relied on the “edge” brand to distinguish its smaller phones with conventionally shaped panels from the models that offer one or two curved edges. It will be the company’s first flagship since the troubled release of the Galaxy Note 7, which was recalled and replaced with safe units before Samsung announced that it would discontinue the phone.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone – Galaxy S8 has been leaked several times and the company has also teased this device, without revealing anything about the phone.

In terms of its release date, there are speculations that S8 is slated to be launched in late March and rolled out in April. There were many rumors that suggested Samsung might do away with the 3.5mm jack, but it looks like it will stay.

As rumoured, newly released images show that the Galaxy S8 will have a rear fingerprint scanner. The S8 is expected to see 11 per cent faster processing compared to the Galaxy S7, 20 per cent more energy efficiency and 23 per cent faster graphics processing. As a new edition, there will be a 64GB variant which can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. Also, the report tips that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have an iris recognition feature that was earlier seen in the Galaxy Note 7.

Whether or not these prove to be real Galaxy S8 devices, we think the S8 will likely leave the home button behind. On the connectivity front, the main highlight will be the inclusion of a USB Type-C port.

Samsung will also include Bixby, its new virtual assistant that can be activated by pressing the dedicated button on the side of the phone.
