The maker says its new handset is capable of a full charge in 90 minutes, which is almost 30% faster than the charging on Samsung’s original S6. Notably, the S6 Edge+ doesn’t come in a 128GB variant. To make a purchase at the point-of-sale, Discover cardmembers will swipe up on eligible Samsung devices, scan their fingerprint and pay. However, it is hard to ignore the fact that the size of the battery is smaller compared to the Galaxy Note 4.
The 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge+ is not yet available to pre-order, but we dread to think how much it will cost.
Although pricing has yet to be confirmed, don’t expect the S6 edge+ to come cheap when it hits retailers in the coming weeks. Also, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is pricier than the Galaxy Note 5. In that respect, the former continues the line’s positioning as a phablet aimed at business users, making it easy to jot down notes and get things done. “Combining the world’s first dual-edge display with a range of intuitive features and an incredibly vivid, large screen, we’re re-emphasising our ongoing commitment to bold, fearless innovation that meets the needs of today’s consumers”.
The S Pen was upgraded to feel more solid and balanced in the user’s hand and offers new features such as note-taking even when the phone screen is off. It has an octa-core chip, 4 gigs of RAM and the 16 MP rear camera inherited from the S6 which consistently tops smartphone camera tests. The Note 5 embodies its writing utensil in a slot located on the lower right.
