Samsung Gear S2 teaser details the new Apple Watch rival
Thankfully the Korean giant seems to have realised that quantity often impacts on quality and held off for ages, so we’ve got high hopes for the Samsung Gear S2, which was teased in the below video today.

With the new Samsung S2 Gear ready to make its presence felt at the IFA, we won’t have to wait too long. “We welcome more developers to join us on this journey.” said Samsung.
A YouTube video of the Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch was recently made public and it showed that the device will now be circular and made of metal.
The device is named Gear S2, and the omission of Galaxy may probably mean it is likely to run Tizen.
TechCrunch reported the device is also “smaller and more fashionable” than the previously released Samsung Gear S.
Now Samsung has posted a teaser video which confirms that the Gear S2 will be officially unveiled and launched on 3 September in Berlin for IFA 2015.
The teaser doesn’t give too much away, but the features look pretty standard – so far, we’ve seen a weather service, some nice-looking maps, fitness features (including a heart monitor), and naturally, messaging and calling.
Tthe upcoming device is also “a big departure” from the Gear S, especially with the 3G radio. This new wearable will apparently sport built-in LTE and Wi-Fi support, so you can be permanently connected, as well as a mighty 1.77-inch screen to check out your notifications and run apps.
As the Apple Watch makes headlines following its launch earlier this year, not many manufacturers have caught up with what appears to be the most popular smartwatch in the industry. “It will be hard to squeeze a keyboard on a rounded smartwatch”, added TechCrunch.

Based on the new promo, Phone Arena reported that the circular bezel, surrounding the display, will apparently be a navigation ring, which can be utilized to communicate with the smart watch. The preview information for the device at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked hinted that consumers “are in for even more surprises very soon”.
