Samsung giving $1 Galaxies to iPhone users for 30-day testing
After selecting their device and carrier, Samsung will send participants a phone with an activated SIM card and a cable for migrating data from the iPhone to the Galaxy. Anybody who decides to pay up and buy a Samsung phone after trying out a loan device will receive “even more love”, according to Samsung, but there is no explanation of what that may be.

Thus, after providing the first Lollipop firmware for the Galaxy Note 5, today Samsung also pushed out the stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS that will come running on the Galaxy S6 Edge+. So if you’re interested in a Note 5, S6 edge+, or S6 edge, keep an eye on this Ultimate Test Drive promo. The last thing anyone needs is an unexpected multi-hundred dollar charge on their monthly credit card statement.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+, which was launched at the recently concluded Samsung Unpacked event, is not just a bigger version of the S6 Edge.
But Apple is closing the gap, as the iPhone 6 and the mega-sized iPhone 6 Plus continue to sell well, particularly in China – a market Samsung had long dominated but Apple wrestled control of earlier this year. CNET says the company now offers a 30-day trial of these phones if you have an iPhone and don’t mind spending $1 for the test run. That’s smart on Samsung’s part: It can gather useful feedback from iPhone users about the latest Galaxy phones and find out more about iOS device owners.
It remains unclear for now just when more handsets will join the Unlimited Test Drive program, but Samsung will likely want to do it before Apple unveils its new iPhones.
Samsung today launched an intriguing and aggressive new promotional campaign specifically targeting iPhone users.
