Samsung has begun delaying Galaxy Note 7 shipments, as the company is conducting additional quality control testing.
Do make a note that YNA spoke to Samsung and the company official has declined to confirm or deny the news regarding shipment suspension of Note 7 units. The reports have prompted Samsung to take some precautionary measures, and have results in the delay in the shipments of the device.
Gaming fans play Need for Speed on Samsung Galaxy S7 mobile phones on June 16 in Los Angeles during E3.
Despite the looming fact that its staunch rival, Apple Inc., is now slated to launch a new iPhone on the 7th of September, that did not stop Samsung Electronics to let out a massive reveal regarding its equally powerful Samsung Galaxy S8.
A YouTube user who says they live in the U.S. uploaded a video of a Galaxy Note 7 with burnt rubber casing and damaged screen under the name Ariel Gonzalez on 29 August. The photos and accounts could not immediately be verified.
As we already said before, Samsung better fix the problem and deliver the goods as delays will greatly affect sales especially in this second half of the year.
Samsung said: “Shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 are being temporarily delayed for additional quality assurance inspections”.
Battery problems are not unusual during the early production of a new smartphone, but the latest explosion claims dented investor sentiment.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 runs on a powerful Octa-core processor with a speed of 2.3GHz.
“Be careful out there, everyone rocking the new Note 7, might catch fire y’all”, one user said in a YouTube clip showing a burnt Note phone.
According to Chosun Ilbo, the South Korean tech giant plans to recall around 400,000 Note 7 units sold in South Korea.
