Samsung launches Galaxy A8 priced at ₹32500

According to a previous report, for four years, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has basked in the success of its Galaxy smartphones, making billions of dollars competing with Apple Inc in the premium mobile market. Samsung stuck with the Galaxy Note though, and by the time the Galaxy Note 3 was set to be released, customers anxiously waited for it.

The renders that Spigen have here for their cases do look a bit like the many leaks we’ve seen in the past few days, and even weeks.

Samsung is rumoured to be announcing a larger version of its S6 Edge, along with the expected next generation of its Note line, both of which could be challengers to the iPhone’s reign.

Poor old Samsung now faces a tough year ahead, to claw back some ground.

Pics aren’t all that was leaked either, with the specs of the Galaxy Note 5 also getting an airing courtesy of Blass. Benchmark database site AnTuTu posted an entry indicating that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 chipset paired with a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM along with a Mali-T760 GPU. The screen will be Super AMOLED, as usual, and is likely to be the same size as the Note 4’s 5.7-inch screen.

Here’s an alleged photo of it from the front.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 is a dual band 4G phone and comes with 1.8 GHz octa core processor.

As for the handset, which is expected to succeed the Galaxy Note Edge, rumors have it that the device is now being developed under the codename “Project Zen”.
