Samsung launches Galaxy A9 in China
Adding to the previous rumours and leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship smartphone, few new images have popped up once again showing the cover cases of the handset.

We will be updating you once we get more information about the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A9 device. The leaked invite suggests the company’s scheduled CES press conference on January 5th where we expect the global announcement of the Galaxy A9. Unfortunately, it only comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop and not yet Marshmallow, but for sure, it will be upgraded soon.
To address the problem of low capacity battery in majority of Samsung phones, the company has packed Galaxy A9 with massive non-removable 4,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge.
But the device is expected to be available next year across China. Considering that the current generation S6 was sold for AU$999 for the 32G variant when it was released in Australia, the Galaxy S7 will be coming in surprisingly cheap.
The Samsung Galaxy A9’s profile cuts a very slim figure at 7.4 mm. It flaunts a 6-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s recently renamed Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of onboard storage, as well a micro sd card slot for expandability up to 128GB.
The dual SIM (nano+nano) device comes equipped with a 13MP rear auto-focus camera with LED flash, OIS, ƒ/1.9 aperture along with an 8MP front facing camera. The front camera is of 8 mp and comes with features like self-portrait mode, palm self mode, wide self-timer etc. The Galaxy A9 retains the premium outlook with its metal body and the neatly chamfered frames while still giving away the fact that it is a typical Samsung design. There will also be a fingerprint scanner on the home button, much like the other phones in the Galaxy A 2016 lineup.

No word yet on exactly when it’ll go on sale (aside from “later this month”) but we do know it’ll show up first in China.
