Samsung may tease Galaxy S8 phone on February 26

Based on what we’ve seen in the leaked Galaxy S8 photos and renders, Samsung’s new flagship phones could be polarizing.

On a yearly basis, Samsung still leads by a large margin, having sold a total of 309.4 million phones in 2016, compared to Apple’s 215.4 million units sold. The company has shared a teaser, which hints at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 on February 26.

It looks like Samsung isn’t pulling any punches on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Despite all the embedded features of recent smartphones, even allowing to exploit the virtual reality, users still suffer from an obsession.

Samsung is expected to adopt Force Touch tech and to move the fingerprint reader to the rear of the smartphone.

The button also resembles the shape of a USB-C port.

Moving on to the materials, it is reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will not stray from their designs. It is expected to come with water resistance and dust resistance like other Samsung models. The device is said to sport a 9.6-inch display with a 2048 x 1535 pixel resolution. The phone will also have a pressure sensitive display which will be cool.

Sadly, it does mean we probably won’t see an update on Gear VR at this year’s show, though perhaps the headset itself could be used during the conference like it was last year. There are rumors that an 8GB version will be available in some regions, but, as of right now, those claims have little evidence to support them.

There won’t be an “edge” branded Galaxy S8, CNET Korea has learned, but there will be two differently sized Galaxy S8 models in stores.

Samsung S8 would be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 may not be launching at the upcoming MWC 2017 event, but this has not stopped rumors and speculations pertaining to the handset from swirling online. The product will then be shipped to stores in mid-April.
