Samsung Offers to Replace Current Note7 with New One
Customers who purchased a Note 7 through one of the carriers and don’t want to wait for Samsung’s exchange program will able return or exchange the devices, the companies said, although the terms varied.

According to the BBC, Dong-jin said: “It will cost us so much it makes my heart ache”. Samsung said there have been 35 cases so far but it didn’t specify the type of incidents.
Issuing a global rollback, the Korean firm confirmed that there is a battery cell issue with the phone and that there are at least 35 confirmed cases around the world.
Vodafone Fiji says no defective Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have been found in Fiji but based on Samsung’s advice they have taken the decision to halt the sale of the smartphone. “Nevertheless, the reason we made this decision is because what is most important is customer safety”. The recall comes a week before Samsung’s rival Apple is expected to launch its new iPhone model.
Samsung has also announced that it has identified the affected inventory and stopped sales and shipments of said devices. “For customers, who have Galaxy Note 7 devices, Samsung will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one from today”. Altogether, the company has manufactured 2.5M of the devices, of which 1M have been sold.

Samsung declined to comment on any plan to recall its flagship device, which has been the subject of online complaints from users claiming their phones caught fire while charging.
Reports have sprung up about exploding Note 7 devices in a few occasions, causing concern from Samsung.

Samsung – now the world’s biggest selling smartphone maker – said Friday that there have been 35 cases reported worldwide of problems with the Note 7’s battery. “We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible”, he company added in the statement.
