Samsung phone not water resistant
Gotta Be Mobile also reports that the Samsung Galaxy S8 may be coming with improved displays that will come with full 4k resolution support that is also going to improve VR capabilities. Phone companies like Sony and Samsung have been known to deny warranty claims due to water intrusion on water-resistant devices, so relying on warranty isn’t foolproof. Indeed, it says that it can’t recommend the Galaxy S7 active to buyers, because the handset fails to live up to the claims made by the company. The Active’s impact-resistant materials shouldn’t have much to do with the S7 Active’s water-resistance, but it’s rated with the same IP68 water-resistance as the regular S7 model.

Samsung’s VR venture proved to be successful as their VR headset, while expensive, is considered to be significantly better than the Google Cardboard variants out in the market.
Now it has been speculated that the new Samsung handset will remain in the same premium pricing bracket as its predecessors. We’re hopeful that the Galaxy S8 will come packing a microSD memory card slot just like the Galaxy S7, so you can carry around a massive media collection as well as streaming your media. However, Consumer Reports’ testing showed that the Galaxy S7 Active failed when it reproduced the water submersion test on its own.
While the price might be justified, it would have been more consumer friendly if the existing prices of the other devices in the flagship range were cut down to make way for the Note 7. Both S7 models boasted slick, smooth performance, with no slowdown even when blasting through the latest games or editing video on the go. That being said, we’re already seeing smartphones with 6GB of RAM, and Samsung typically leads the pack in innovation and delivers key upgrades to the Note series later in the year.

The device, which appears to be a test unit, carries the model number SM-N930V and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM.
