The offer will also be extended to those who have already bought one of Samsung’s flagship devices as well as those purchasing smartphones like the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy S5 and Samsung’s mid-range A-series of smartphones. Smartphone deliveries used to account for two-thirds of the operating profit of the company, but recent quarters saw a considerable decline.
This year, South Korea electronics and mobile company Samsung launched a couple of great new Android smartphones – the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The key sentence for bargain hunters is found when Samsung says it wants to maintain the “sales momentum for its high-end products”, by adjusting the price of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Obviously the S6 and S6 edge are anything but cheap even after this move, but the price cuts may help Samsung sell more units in the near future.
Samsung doubled its interim dividend to 1,000 won a share.
On the bright side, the chips division reported an operating profit of 3.40 trillion won, up from 1.86 trillion won a year earlier on the back of healthy demand for memory chips and sales growth for its mobile processors. This time regarding the Galaxy Note 5 which we are expecting to be announced on August 13th in New York City at their next Unpacked event, which we will be attending as usual. The device is basically the Galaxy S6 edge but coming with a larger, 5.7-inch display. The company released the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in March.
Doh Hyun Woo, a Seoul-based analyst at Mirae Asset Securities said in a July 17 report: “Smartphone sales, which drive demand for semiconductors, aren’t likely to rebound sharply in the second half, while overall supply is expected to increase from the first half”.

All these specifications make fans and mobile users more excited to its launch especially that it will cost less than its S6 Edge brother despite a bigger screen.
