Samsung has updated its Galaxy A series of metal-bodied smartphones with the unveiling of the 2016 models of Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. On the downside, it’s going to come with a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera (instead of 8 MP and 5 MP, respectively).

Interestingly, both the A5 and A7 will include support for Samsung Pay – and a fingerprint sensor for security – despite the fact that the mobile payment system is now only available in the United States and South Korea. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active’s 3,500 mAh battery gives its users as much as 24 hours’ worth of talk time and up to 21 days of life when on standby mode. It features a 3,300mAh battery.

“At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the feedback and needs of our wide range of consumers”, said JK Shin, CEO and Head of Samsung’s IT & Mobile Business. The smartphone houses 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

According to another report in Tech Times, the new Galaxy A7 will have a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

One of the most recent entry-level Android smartphone launched by Samsung, the Galaxy J3 is about to make the jump overseas after being initially released in China.

The A3 is the budget option, with a 4.7-inch 720p display, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and a 2,300mAh battery. Connectivity features of the three handsets include 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC; Galaxy A7 and A5 support Cat 6 LTE, while Galaxy A3 is limited to Cat 4 LTE.
