Samsung rumored to be working on a proprietary headphone jack

Sprint today announced that, in the first three days, pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are more than 375 percent higher compared to a year ago. The time frame that Sprint is referring to covers three days, compared to the four-day period that T-Mobile is disclosing.

The arrival of a new iPhone is also a key time for carriers to get people thinking about switching service.

According to Sprint, the iPhone 7 sales this weekend were more than 375% higher than in 2015.

Samsung is also said to be planning to block Apple from licensing this new proprietary port, which could have a major impact on future of headphones.

Accord to T-Mobile CEO John Legere, “The demand around the iPhone 7 is just incredible”. Accordingly, over the past 24 hours or so, several MacRumors readers enrolled in the program have been able to reserve the iPhone model they desired for pickup at a local Apple Store later this week.

T-Mobile and Sprint announced on Tuesday pre-orders for Apple’s new phone are up almost four times from the previous two models, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.

One of the most prominent Apple retailer in India, iWorld has started taking pre-registrations for the device.

This year, Apple killed the headphone jack. The website displays an option to pre-register for an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.

In addition to strong iPhone 7 preorder responses, Reuters points to Samsung’s recent struggles as perhaps another reason for AAPL’s growth.
