Samsung’s Galaxy S9 Will Reportedly Come in Lilac Purple

Samsung has confirmed the device will be announced in late February. So by the time the smartphones get officially unveiled, we would know nearly everything about them. As previously reported, the renders show a similar design to the Galaxy S9’s predecessor and will retain the slim bezels and a near edge-to-edge Super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode or AMOLED display.

Although the upcoming Galaxy S9 variants are likely to rival Apple’s iPhone X with a combo, as Samsung Galaxy S9 might feature face unlock and iris scanner, yet the upcoming Galaxy X smartphone will take the rivalry to the next level. The full color palette is: Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and the usual lineup of special/limited edition finishes. Apart from being bigger, the Galaxy S9 Plus is rumored to get dual rear cameras (while the standard S9 sticks to one), which would support the price disparity.

With that said, what do you think about Samsung possibly retiring the S-series brand in favor of something different? Snap the ideal selfie with the 16MP+8MP F1.9 Dual Front Camera, which allows you to create a professional-grade portrait with an impressive bokeh effect; or capture any scene or subject with the advanced 16MP F1.7 rear camera with improved low-light capability. Both will have 12MP rear cameras with mechanical adjusting apertures between f/2.4 and f/1.5. The effort was first reported in speculation about the Galaxy S9 last autumn, with new code and even an embedded video from Samsung’s settings app now suggesting that Samsung is repackaging its improved biometric authentication system as a feature called “Intelligent Scan”.

Unfortunately, the tipster doesn’t reveal the secondary image sensor that will be present on the device.
