Samsung’s new Smart TV remote controls all your devices
DeVita appeared at Samsung’s press event at CES where Samsung also said its Family Hub refrigerator will support integration with home automation controls, including music and other entertainment.

Samsung’s entire 2016 Smart TV line-up will be Internet of Things (IoT) ready and connected with SmartThings, an open platform that allows users to connect, manage and control smart devices and IoT services.
Samsung spokesman Phil Newton says that the Australians want connectivity but don’t want overly complicated technology.
Samsung’s new Family Hub Fridge is a smart refrigator with an interactive screen that lets you directly order groceries. So if you’re running low on milk, you can get a reminder while you’re at the shops via the app.
Samsung’s 2016 SUHD TVs feature cadmium-free, 10-bit Quantum dot display and provide a premium high dynamic range (HDR) experience, with 1,000 nit HDR minimum for a higher level of contrast between light and dark images. And from a smartphone, you can check what’s inside, as captured by three cameras. It serves as the refrigerator’s digital family command center. “All you need is one Samsung Smart TV”.
Even now, there are quite a few modern living rooms that have several devices connected to a big screen TV – a gaming console, a Blu-Ray player, a video-streaming box and other gadgets. The system also tracks food that has been purchased and makes note of the expiration dates, alarming users when the due date nears for the item.
But one might ask, what makes it a smart fridge?
Samsung made a splash at last year’s CES by introducing a washing machine called “ActiveWash” with a sink built into the top (for pre-treating clothing before wash).

A hub is another piece of hardware that occupies space, and many of them don’t necessarily look good. “In 2016, Samsung’s Smart Hub and Smart Control remote are providing the most streamlined, convenient, and intuitive TV user experience”.
