Samsung’s quick fix for Galaxy Note 7 is no full recharge
The fallout from Samsung’s not-so-little problem concerning the Galaxy Note 7’s tendency to get a little hot under the collar just seems to keep on getting worse for them.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been recalled due to many reports of incidents that the device battery is overheating.
Following the recall of millions of Samsung Galaxy Note 7s last week, air-safety regulators in the USA are urging passengers to avoid using the mobile phones on airliners.
We’re not sure if reducing the capacity actually helps prevent the phone from exploding, but Samsung says its a “temporary” safety measure. It’s unclear if Samsung will make the update available to others overseas.
The next few months will be busy for Samsung, as it replaces two and a half million brand new smartphones that were recalled last week because their batteries that can catch fire. Samsung has been under fire on its phone’s lithium-ion battery which has been overheating and causing the phone to explode.
In the United States the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is now involved.
In Munster’s own words, “The recall couldn’t have come at a better time for Apple and worse time for Samsung”.
We’ve corrected this article to reflect that the phone that burned the six-year-old was a Galaxy Core and not a Galaxy Note 7.
Analysts said the software update appears to be a last-ditch effort to contain the crisis. The safe Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s will be marked with a blue S and a black square on the barcode sticker of the box.

Canada issued a recall notice on Monday.
The company did not say how many more faulty batteries in the Note 7 have been reported since September 1, when 35 cases were confirmed.

NJ Transit has not had any incidents reported to the agency about a Samsung Galaxy Note7, officials said in a release.
