Samsung says replacements available for recalled Note 7
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 7 IMEI tool, which will allow customers to check online if the smartphone that they have acquired is among the ones with possible risks of a faulty battery or among the replacement units.

To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are now conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market.
The South Korean company on Tuesday said 500,000 replacement devices have arrived in the U.S. and have been shipped to carrier and retail stores.
“We are delivering as promised and moving quickly to educate consumers about the recall and make new Note 7s available”, Tim Baxter, president of Samsung Electronics America, said in a statement.
An official of Samsung Electronic West Africa, Mr Zain Mamudu, says the Samsung Galaxy Note7 has not been officially introduced into the Nigerian market.
In men, depression is different.
Recalled Note 7 devices will still show a white battery indicator, making it easy for users and customer support representatives to identify if a device should be replaced. The CPSC’s notice made it illegal to attempt to sell or resell one of the recalled Note 7 phones.
South Korean users have time until March 2017 to hand in their phones for a replacement but Samsung is hoping a software update that will limit battery recharges to 60 percent of capacity will jolt consumers into returning their handsets.
The company also said about 25 percent of Note 7 owners in the United States have exchanged their devices, up from 13 percent last week when Samsung started making replacement Notes available. It alerts owners of the recall, and suggests all users turn off and power down their phone.
Samsung, which has lost significant market share in the smartphone space after this Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, is trying hard to salvage its brand. After every reboot or while charging this notification will appear.
