Samsung says to expedite US Galaxy Note 7 shipments this week
The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a warning, advising passengers not to turn on or charge their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on board any planes.

This means passengers can still potentially use the device if they want to ignore the Federal Aviation Administration suggestion, unlike the Australian restrictions which specifically prohibit passengers from using the device.
EVA Airways, Taiwan’s second-largest airline, was not yet decided on the issue.
Samsung is having the worst time of its life, first by recalling an innumerable number of Galaxy Note 7 units, which reports claim could cause the company approximately $1 billion in revenue.
Samsung has said that it was not easy to work out which phones were influenced among those, although that battery difficulties were behind the cellphones catching fire.
Airline passengers are warned by United States authorities to not switch on or charge their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobiles when on board the airplane.
Samsung’s Note 7s are being pulled from shelves in 10 countries, including South Korea and the U.S., just two weeks after it was launched. “However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7”, said a company spokesperson in a statement issued several days ago.
Samsung last week offered to replace the phones for its customers in the wake of 35 cases reported worldwide as of September 1 that suggested a battery cell issue in some of the devices.
Samsung is recalling the new phablets because faulty batteries are making them catch fire.
In practical terms, this means that for a case such as the Samsung recall, the consumer’s next steps would be to head straight to the manufacturer, or to the retailer that supplied them with the device.
“The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a public notice prohibiting the use of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 smartphone on board an aircraft”, the Ministry of Civil Aviation was quoted in an official statement.
