Samsung stops sales of Galaxy Note7
The company has decidedly pulled off its flagship handset off the shelves, assuring to restore the stocks once the battery problem is fixed. Samsung used a different battery supplier for the Chinese Galaxy Note 7, which has allowed it to escape from the issues of the other batteries.

In an emailed statement, Samsung India spokesperson said, “We are now conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market”.
All sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have been stopped due to the problem.
Samsung said it would voluntarily replace all current Note 7 devices “over coming weeks”, but has not yet announced the procedure for current owners.
Samsung has stopped global sales of the phone and is issuing replacements phone for customer who have already purchased the device.
The recall is expected to be costly for Samsung and could threaten its position in the smartphone market, according to analysts.

Vodafone Fiji says no defective Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have been found in Fiji but based on Samsung’s advice they have taken the decision to halt the sale of the smartphone.

It received strong reviews from critics out of the gate – heralded as sleek and powerful – but some early users noticed the screen is much more susceptible to scratches than competing smartphones.
“It is a big amount that is heartbreaking”, said Koh Dong-jin, president of Samsung’s mobile communications business.

“We will share the findings (of the inspection) as soon as possible”, she said.
