As you can see, these devices do look quite similar, but there are also some significant differences here considering the fact Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge evolved in a way. Common hardware on both devices include an octa core/quad processor (Market dependent), 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will return to the micro-SD slot for expandable storage and will feature bigger batteries that will recharge fast, according to Gotta Be Mobile. It has been expected to come out with many new and improved features and carries the burden of several expectations. Yes, the Unpacked event happening this February 21 where #TheNextGalaxy will be unveiled will be presented in 360 live streaming for those who can not be in Barcelona. With their glass back and metal frame, the Galaxy S7 is also expected to have a larger battery. We should also hear a bit about Samsung Pay, with Samsung having announced its coming to China next month already.

The unveiling came amid a press conference which Samsung delivered via virtual reality, placing a VR headset on every seat in the hall for those in attendance. The handset will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and updated version of Samsung’s Android skin, TouchWiz.

There’s also one important change in functionality – the S7 Edge’s curved screen edge will be home to shortcuts which users can customise, meaning accessing important apps and features will be much easier. No price and availability dates were announced for both phones.
