Samsung has finally chose to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge starting Monday. Samsung has been unveiling its flagships at the MWC from quite some time and this time around it will be the Galaxy S7.
With the launch of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge just around the corner, Samsung doesn’t want S6 owners to feel like they’ve been forgotten. Though it didn’t mention specifically, but the next in line should be the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. The Marshmallow update of Google was initially launched in May 2015 and was released into the Nexus phones of the company in October. Alternatively, you can check for the update manually also through the Settings menu. It can now be expanded to 550 pixels wide, allowing for much more content to be displayed.
Galaxy S7 will flaunt w 5.1 inch 1440×2560 quad HD display along with a Super AMOLED screen and S7 Edge will have slightly larger curved display which could well be 5.5 inches with similar resolutions. The tech firm will reportedly introduce the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge during the upcoming event.
While Android is now the most popular mobile software, a good number of customers only get to use the version installed on their devices.
