Samsung to Unveil the ‘Samsung Note 7’ on August 2

The smartphone maker said that the Galaxy Note 7 will allow people to get more work done, at home or anywhere in between. The company said, ‘There are a couple reasons why.

In something of an unconventional move on Tuesday evening, Samsung announced that it will announce the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung will announce its new Galaxy Note handset – Galaxy Note 7 – at the event. Also, in view of the different leaked photos that surfaced, it appears the company borrowed the name from its new Galaxy S smartphones, as the screen is curved on Note 7.

Samsung has invited media to an event in early August to show off its next-generation phablet, which will skip a generation in naming.

Clearly, many enthusiasts may still be confused as they expected Note 6 to be unwrapped after Note 5’s launch past year.

“First and foremost though, you might be curious as to why it’s called Galaxy Note 7 instead of Galaxy Note 6″.

The Note 7 is rumoured to have a iris-scanner and a dual-edged display. After the huge success of the Galaxy S7 lineup, Samsung hopes that the new Note phablet does well in the ever evolving mobile market. Note that, as per a recent AnTuTu listicle, the Note 5 was the most popular phone in the first half of 2016.

It will come with a 6GB of RAM and is likely to be available in 32GB, 64GB and 256 GB storage variants. The front camera will come with 5 megapixels and the rear camera with 13 megapixels. Moreover, the device will also provide an ability to scribble on edges including the addition of smart glow feature to let users know about various notifications via colors. It appears as though the event will be live-streamed, too.

Simultaneously launch events will take place in Rio de Janeiro at noon and in London at 4.00
