The stunning news now is that, the supposed launch of the Huawei Mate 9 at this year IFA expo looks unlikely after the company’s Mobile Product line manager, Bruce Lee admitted: “the Mate 8 was announced in November, so it would be too soon to introduce its successor in September”.

We should not expect any Huawei device of the Mate series, as speculations are mounting that a new series entirely aimed at the mid-range market is set to pop out at the event. Reports claimed that the new Gear S3 wearable will sport a thinner chassis and faster Tizen OS with many new specs like a barometer, speedometer, an altimeter, and an integrated Global Positioning System. Users will also be hoping for a thinner design and a faster processor.

We’ve reserved the full lowdown for our Surface Phone rumours piece, but in a nutshell we expect Microsoft to unveil three models. It is still unclear whether the event will be followed via a live stream.

RAM capacity was speculated to be 3GB, the GFXBench listing shows that Sony would use a 4GB RAM for this handset.

Asus might launch a Zenwatch and Samsung is expected to announce its Tizen-powered Gear S3. It is also rumored to launch with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) and a stainless steel back. Fitbit Inc.is expected to launch its next generation of wearables, the Fitbit Flex 2 and Fitbit Charge 2, codenamed Laryon and Fermion, at IFA.

Acer Inc. could be entering the smartwatch market, but in order to stand out it is rumored to be launching a “smartwatch for the gaming market”.

LG Electronics Inc. has a launch event scheduled for its LG V20 on September 6 in San Francisco, which will be the first smartphone to launch with Android Nougat out of the box. The XZ has a 23MP rear-facing snapper with dual LED flash and laser autofocus, and a 13MP camera on the front.

The video also showcases a bendable smartphone, similar to the one seen at Lenovo Tech World in June.

In 2015, the IFA consumer technology show welcomed some 1,600 exhibitors and 240,000 visitors.

Sony is working on two new smartphones that could make its entry in to the market in September.

While Samsung will evidently be presenting its Galaxy Note 7 – unveiled early in August – its most eagerly awaited revelation at the Berlin show is a new-gen version of the Gear S3 smartwatch.

The event today is expected to be all about the next Samsung Gear smartwatch as the invite to the event seems to display two watch hands so it’s a safe bet.
