Samsung Z2 To Be Announced In India Tomorrow At Press Event

The handset is expected to come with a 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, the device will also come with 8GB of built in storage. Just the other day a video surfaced which more or less gave away some of the phone’s features, but now thanks to renderings obtained and published by Dutch website Galaxyclub.nl (via SamMobile), we have a better idea of what the Samsung Z2 looks like. On the front is a 4-inch AMOLED display and comes with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution.

Samsung India invited a selected group of guests to meet the company’s “next meaningful invention”, further adding the center of the event will be the unveiling of a new smartphone.

The Samsung offering was leaked extensively last week in an official-looking video which revealed a number of details about the upcoming smartphone.

We already got some information about the Samsung Z2 at the Galaxy Note 7 launch event in Africa.

Much like its predecessors the Z1 and Z3, the Samsung Z2 is not particularly created to impress, sporting a more conservative look than that of its flagship brothers.

The front facing camera will be the same 0.3MP VGA camera as seen on the Samsung Z1.

Much speculation surrounds the stars of the evening next Tuesday, but the Tizen-powered Z2 is one of the suspects for Tuesday night. Battery-wise, a mere 1,500mAh battery powers the whole unit. We expect the pricing of the Z2 will be something around Rs. 6000 price bracket.

Samsung’s Z2 smartphone which is expected to be a low budget device would be the third handset from the technology giants in India which has a Tizen OS.
