So mark your calendars for 2016, because Jack is back. That’s right, commence total freakout. Praised for its animation style and epic battle scenes, “Samurai Jack” aired for four seasons before being canceled in 2004 by Cartoon Network. The new Samurai Jack episodes will air as part of Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block on Cartoon Network.
Premiering in 2001, the acclaimed series follows a time-displaced samurai on a quest to defeating the shape-shifting demon Aku, who destroyed his father’s kingdom.
Are you pleased that Samurai Jack will return to television or were you holding out hope for a movie? I feel like it’s time to maybe finish the story. Really, can we just get another episode with the Scotsman?
