Marquez then tells the 911 operator that Farook “was reliable enough for him for storage, like to store my gun”. Before, even, he became a Muslim, there was Syed Rizwan Farook.

Marquez faces an additional immigration charge for a sham marriage with a member of Farook’s family. Marquez says he and Farook were planning to throw pipe bombs at Riverside Community College and shoot students who were attempting to flee.
Farook’s attack on the Inland Regional Center, committed along with his wife Tashfeen Malik, left 14 people dead and another 22 injured.
Marquez’s public defender declined to comment on the charges filed this week.
Marquez was charged with illegally purchasing the rifles that the shooters used again hours later in a gunbattle with police.
Officials also accused him of “defrauding immigration authorities by entering into a sham marriage with a member of Farook’s family”. “Very sorry sguys. It was a pleasure” – and called 911.
“While there now is no evidence that Mr. Marquez participated in the December 2, 2015 attack or had advance knowledge of it, his prior purchase of the firearms and ongoing failure to warn authorities about Farook’s intent to commit mass murder had fatal consequences”, said U.S. Attorney Eileen M. Decker of the Central District of California.

The massacre, coming after an IS attack in Paris last month that killed 130 people, has helped drag down Obama’s approval ratings on handling terrorism.

Law enforcement officials have told ABC News that al-Awlaki’s materials are found often on the computers of those arrested on terror charges in the USA – dozens of them in the past few years.
Authorities still are trying to learn more about whom the killers interacted with, how they hatched and carried out the plot and why. Marquez also said he no longer wanted Farook as a friend.
By 2011, Farook and Marquez were spending most of their time at Farook’s home, reading, listening to lectures and watching videos “involving radical Islamic content”, investigators say.
Marquez allegedly told investigators their plan was to drop pipe bombs from the second floor of the cafeteria, then escape and mount another attack elsewhere on campus. The following year, Farook married his accomplice in the San Bernardino shootings, Malik. Farook allegedly planned to move among stopped vehicles, shooting into them, while Marquez shot into vehicles from a position on a nearby hillside. During the terror-plotting days, Marquez had bought two rifles and given them to Farook, who thought he wouldn’t have passed a background check.
The two made multiple trips to gun ranges to practice shooting, according to the complaint.
Marquez, who was charged Thursday with supporting terror, agreed to marry Russian native Mariya Chernykh – the sister of Farook’s brother’s wife – so she could become a legal USA resident. The earlier plots involved an attack on students in this cafeteria where farook and Marquez attended classes.
Marquez answers that his neighbour did the shooting.
He was led into radical Islamist ideology by his next door neighbor, Syed Rizwan Farook, known as Rizwan.

Farook and Tashfeen Malik died in a shootout with police hours later. The officials aren’t authorized to discuss it by name and spoke on condition of anonymity.
