Thursday afternoon, lawmakers in Washington are getting a classified briefing on the San Bernardino terror investigation.

A law enforcement source said investigators are focusing on how Malik obtained the K-1 fiancée visa that allowed her to enter the United States with Farook.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation on Thursday sent divers to search a lake in San Bernardino, Calif., for a computer hard drive missing from the home of the suspects in the recent deadly shooting, according to people familiar with the matter. At times, the divers picked up items from the lake and threw them back in after inspecting them.
A jury previous year convicted two of those men, including Afghan-born ringleader Sohiel Omar Kabir, of conspiring to provide material support and resources to al-Qaeda and plotting to attack USA military forces in Afghanistan.
After the interview, Malik passed two other security database checks before her visa was adjudicated.
The 2012 probe happened in Riverside, California, not far from San Bernardino.
“These people weren’t on the radar”, he added.
Federal authorities questioned Marquez, 24, after searching his mother’s Riverside house over the weekend, but have not charged him with a crime.
Twenty-one people were also wounded in the attack.

But U.S. government sources have said there was no evidence that the Islamic State even knew of the couple before the killings. Gulzar Ahmad Malik spoke to The Associated Press by telephone from Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, saying he is “very, very sad”.
