Police said there might be as many as three suspects involved, but officers are looking for witnesses and surveillance video to try to piece together what happened. At the same point last year, 24 homicides had been tallied.
During the morning hours, police took several photos of a black SUV in the parking lot of the business.
Police responded at 12:55 a.m.to a building in the 1800 block of Lundy Avenue in North San Jose near the post off and Costco shopping center on a report of a person shot.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he later died. Workers arrived Thursday morning and were kept out of their offices because of the homicide investigation. “It’s a shock. I wouldn’t, I don’t know what’s going on”. Employees who work in the area told reporters that the building was easily accessible and that there have been suspicions that people have been illegally living in vacant office space there.

It also marked the city’s 11th homicide recorded in the past six weeks, after the city saw eight in the first six months.
