Sanchez blow for Arsenal

– Arsenal have conceded half of their 12 goals this season (6) in the 15 minute period before half time.

Meanwhile, Koscielny was still in obvious pain as the squad departed Carrow Road to head to the airport as Wenger, who also lost Kieran Gibbs to a calf problem before the game, gave a negative prognosis on Cazorla’s knock. “It would be fantastic for the kid’s career to go through, so I have to be honest and say that I would like the kid and Olympiakos to go on”.

Arsenal are likely to continue with Mathieu Flamini in midfield for Saturday’s game against Sunderland and Aaron Ramsey may move in from the right to play alongside him as Wenger attempts to manage with his three leading candidates for central berths.

But the likes of Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta all in the treatment room alongside Coquelin, with a lack of central midfielders the main issue Wenger is likely to address if he buys in the transfer window.

Arsenal have taken just two points during November and were already contending with a crippling injury list before the severity of the situation worsened with the potential loss of Sanchez, while Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla also face the prospect of a spell on the sidelines.

Poor ol’ Arsenal… Arsene Wenger really either needs to change the way his players are training… or fire the entire medical team… because the number of injuries every season is becoming borderline ridiculous. The Chilean global has played in majority of Arsenal’s matches of the English Premier League so far.

“I would have rested Sanchez today but he said to me before the game he was fine to play”.

“The players are there to play football and not to be rested, and it’s not for the press to decide if they need to be rested”, Wenger replied when asked about Sanchez’s injury.

Arsenal, who had looked in complete control for the opening half-hour, found themselves on the back foot for much of the rest of the game but Norwich failed to find a second goal that would have given them just a second win in eight league games. We don’t need to worry about (the injuries).

“Overall it was a hard game but at least we didn’t lose it. That’s the positive of the day”.

But, while he was often a spectator, we feel Cech deserves credit not only for the saves he made, but the way in which he commanded his penalty area and never allowed Norwich to apply sustained pressure.
