Wenger warily acknowledged his team’s title chances and said his players are growing in maturity.
Although he said that it was too early to predict the league victor, the Frenchman added that the win has strengthened their belief of claiming the title, the Guardian reported.
‘We need to communicate a bit more, to focus a bit more and to stick together as team a bit more and I think it will be okay’.
Leicester City’s win over Everton assured that they stay atop the Premier League until Christmas, having now extended their lead over title favourites City.
He said: “We face the next challenge on Saturday, obviously a very busy time but we haven’t shown some strength (at times) and the depth of the squad is vital at the minute”.
“Last season we played at City and we showed some different kind of match-plan”.
“We enjoyed [the win] because there was a lot of emotion on the pitch, off the pitch and we were victorious so I am so pleased for everyone”. It is a significant game.
The lifelong Gunners fan backed a Parliamentary bill declaring Arsenal “the best team in the world at the moment” after their last title, and says he has been assurred by the Arsenal boss that his side will mount a serious challenge this season. Arsene Wenger’s side take on Southampton in their next league game. We always looked risky.
Theo Walcott and Oliver Giroud scored to hand Arsenal a 2-1 win, with City’s defenders culpable in the absence of injured captain Vincent Kompany.
Striker Olivier Giroud has been in fantastic form, scoring five goals in three games, including a hat-trick against Olympiakos. You could see when the legs went, Ozil was sick all week but they still keep going.
“Before that, we had a clear option to score but we didn’t and when you miss the option, normally they score in your goal”.
“That is our thoughts and that is why we implement them into games sometimes”.

Toure scored with a remarkable effort from a one-two on the edge of the box, softly lofting a shot into the far corner with his first touch, and Wenger had nothing but praise for the Ivorian. “He’s had a very slight setback”.
