At Vicarage Road on Saturday, the Gunners raced into a three goal half time lead courtesy of Santi Cazorla from the penalty spot, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil with a ideal header on the stroke of half time.
We now have a two week global break and as Monreal hasn’t been selected in the Spain squad, he’ll have plenty of time to recover and get himself ready to face Southampton at the Emirates on September 10th.

But they did not look like a team in need of extra artillery after a polished first-half display against Watford. The game here is more like in Spain and the German national team by keeping the ball on the grass so it was easy to convince me. “Everybody else will do the same, so we will try to do our best”.
“Mesut is almost there, not completely but he just goes again so for us the break is not welcome”, he added. “Pereyra, (Daryl) Janmaat, (Younes) Kaboul and (Isaac) Success all came in and did very well”. “I believe in hard work and that will get us results”.

Watford now sit 14th in the Premier League table, just one below their opponents, Arsenal.
