Despite what feels like a plethora of talent, the San Diego Padres have been doing next to nothing this season in regards to wins and losses.

According to a statement released by the club on Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays have activated outfielder Jose Bautista from the 15-day disabled list. It equals the longest such streak in the National League since the 2006 Atlanta Braves also homered in 23 games in a row.

Bautista had not played since June 16, when he hurt his right big toe trying to field a fly ball in Philadelphia.

The 35-year-old Bautista is batting.230 with 12 homers and 41 RBIs in 65 games this season.

The first two hits off Sanchez were infield singles by Solarte in the first and by Dickerson in the fourth.

This was the first time the Padres had ever played a game in Toronto.

Schultz allowed a leadoff double in the ninth to Matt Kemp, who moved to third on a groundout to first by Yangervis Solarte. Harmless pop outs and grounders were the norm. Subsequently, they’ve come into the MLB Trade Deadline as sellers and pulled off the first major deal in trading All-Star starting pitcher to the Boston Red Sox. Dickerson hit a mammoth home run to right, his fourth of the season, to cut Toronto’s lead to two runs. In 19 games in 2016, Lake hit.206 with a home run and two runs batted in.
