Sanders adds delegates in Washington state, but Clinton wins Guam
Often overlooked, Guam this election cycle drew attention from both the presidential candidates, who ran radio advertisements in a bid to scoop up any possible delegate in the final stretch of primaries and caucuses. Former state Sen. Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, and Phish drummer Jon Fishman are expected to speak on behalf of the Sanders campaign. “I think people gave him a wide berth when he had a numeric chance but there is no math that ends up with his being the nominee, so at this point I think even the wins don’t do anything but continue the inevitable problem of he can’t get there from here”. The delegates they would select had to also have supported their preferred nominee.

“It may well be our task to work hard to reach out to our (labor union) members who support Trump and begin an important dialogue”, said Rand Wilson, a staunch Sanders supporter and Labor for Bernie spokesman.
A CBS news poll on Tuesday night said 32 percent of Bernie Sanders’s supporters will not vote for Hillary Clinton in November.
But his math remains dire. If he pulls off a string of upset victories in the remaining primaries and finishes ahead in the race for pledged delegates, he’ll try to persuade superdelegates to support him – and that’s reasonable. Her position contrasts sharply with her 2008 win over Barack Obama and that of her husband, former President Bill Clinton, who handily won the state in both the 1992 and 1996 primary seasons.
“Hillary Clinton is scrambling to win a nomination she should have locked down months ago”, he said.
Hillary Clinton better settle in: Bernie Sanders isn’t going anywhere – at least not until after June 14.
Clinton is all-but-certain to secure the Democratic nomination in the coming weeks: She leads Sanders in the total delegate count of 2,228 to1,454 – 2,383 are needed to secure the nomination outright. Still, 11 percent of respondents said that they were still undecided.
The candidate’s forces are already asking the Democratic National Committee for changes in the convention’s standing committees, which set the convention rules and draft the platform. At the party’s national convention, they can vote for the candidate of their choice.
Sanders has been able to take advantage of remarks Clinton made early in the campaign about shutting down the coal industry because of its effects on the environment. That leaves 152 still uncommitted.
The adoption of the amendment means that Maine’s superdelegate votes will now be allocated proportionally according to the overall popular vote, rather than each superdelegate having complete autonomy.
Clinton now has 26 wins this primary season, compared to 19 for Sanders.
Donald Trump will start his 2016 battle against Hillary Clinton by trailing her by double-digits in the polls and a projected Electoral College wipeout thus far.

Clinton has recently sent advisers to Puerto Rico to learn more about the Zika virus and called on Congress to assist with the island’s financial crisis. She talks about taking on big banks, but those big banks are also contributing significantly to her campaign.
