Sanders’ bid reaches turning point after Northeast losses
Bernie Sanders’ campaign is laying off more than 200 workers following losses to rival Hillary Clinton in four out of five state primary elections on Tuesday.

The campaign plans to have 60 or 70 staffers on the ground in California when that state votes on June 7.
He continued, “And our job, whether we win or whether we do not win, is to transform not only our country, but the Democratic Party – to open the doors of the Democratic Party to working people and young people and senior citizens in a way that does not exist today”.
“I spent an enormous amount of time convincing my supporters to support [Obama]”, Clinton said this week.
Sanders’ visits come a week before the May 3 IN primary.
Bernie Sanders is making his latest fundraising pitch by using a photograph of Hillary Clinton smiling up at Donald Trump that was snapped when she attended his wedding to Melania in 2005.
Even though she discounts all questions regarding aspirations for vice president, I hope that Warren accepts Sanders’ offer of vice president, should he offer it to her.
“I think it’s really a waste of time, honestly”, Trump said, suggesting that it was an attempt to attract more attention to his campaign.
The decisions facing Sanders going forward may well be more challenging than Clinton’s in 2008. And he did not let the opportunity pass to hit her for the speeches she made to Wall Street – though he didn’t make his common demand to “release the transcripts”. But in other events Sanders has largely steered clear of Clinton, focusing instead on Trump.
But asked whether Sanders has a path to the nomination Reid did not equivocate.
But in practical terms, the platform’s significance is limited, and even if Sanders succeeds beautifully in shaping the document – securing support for a $15 minimum wage, for example – he’d probably be leaving political capital on the table.
“We are trying to run an issue-oriented campaign and a campaign means that you talk about your record, what you believe in, as opposed to your opponent’s”. Eighteen-year-old Noblesville high schooler John Parke said he’d support Clinton if she defeats Sanders.

Sarandon, who has donated US$2,700 to Sanders, said her comments were reported incorrectly. He managed a win in Rhode Island. “If anything, the fact that he’s persevering at this point is inspiring”, said Maddie Harris, 17, of Parkersburg, W.Va., who attended Sanders’ West Virginia rally on Tuesday.
