Sanders big campaign plans clash with political realities

Bernie Sanders of Vermont, outdrawing her in support among young women, Clinton’s candidacy has turned into a generational clash, one that erupted over the weekend when two feminist icons, Madeleine Albright and Gloria Steinem, called on young women who supported Sanders to essentially grow up and get with the program. I don’t think so. Steinem appeared to be at first in denial about Sanders’ success with young women, apparently not realizing that millennial women choose Bernie with a almost 20 point margin.

The accusation has been fiercely contested by Sanders supporters, who call it a “smear” campaign manufactured by Clinton’s team, and that the alleged instances of harassment are isolated incidents that have no bearing on the Sanders campaign.

Lucky for him, Democratic women stood by their man. A female aide, Betsey Wright, used the phrase “bimbo eruptions” to discredit women who blew the whistle on the Democratic presidential hopeful in 1992.

Contracts from two paid speeches – made public through records requests in 2014 – each include the same boilerplate language ensuring that Clinton alone owns the rights to the contents of her speech and any reproductions of her speech.

He referred to an editorial in the Nation, in which Joan Walsh wrote that “social-media trolls have had several fascinating and stunningly sexist reactions” to her daughter’s support of Hillary Clinton. And while he remains a long-shot to win the Democratic nomination for president, is the front-runner for Tuesday’s New Hampshire primaries.

“When you’re making a revolution you can’t be too careful with the facts”, he intoned while campaigning solo in Milford, New Hampshire, before a small group of voters. Bill Clinton is trying to attack an area where he is weaker than Bernie Sanders. No neighboring candidate has ever lost the primary here in an open seat race, and even Bill Clinton placed second to former Massachusetts Sen. “Women should help women, women should help men, men should help women, men should help men, that’s what life is about”.

For some of the many still-undecided voters, particularly older and middle aged women, that message could have sway.

Clinton attended the service of Prayer House Missionary in Flint. Clinton is one of the best known political figures in the world and has strong backing among Latinos and black voters.

Clinton accused Sanders of hypocrisy for portraying his wife as beholden to Wall Street because of campaign donations and speaking fees she has accepted from firms like Goldman Sachs. “I wish it were for a different reason” said Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as she spoke in Flint Sunday afternoon. “I respect all the work she’s done, as well as the experience she has”.

Other female voters are unmoved by that argument.

“I have no idea what they’re talking about or who they are talking to”, she told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in an interview set to air later Tuesday. “It’s a trust factor”. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., speaks during a campaign stop at Great Bay Community College, Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, in Portsmouth, N.H. It’s a grassroots movement.
