The Senator from Florida, Rubio came a close third in Iowa surprising many with his performance.
Marco Rubio. The poll found that nationally, Trump’s support has fallen to 25 percent, while Cruz and Rubio are tied with 21 percent each.
The debate will begin at 8 p.m.
Rick Wilson, a Republican consultant who thinks Rubio is the Republican candidate best placed to win the White House, said the billionaire’s latest outburst was a sign of desperation.
Donald Trump surprised many observers with the gracious, nearly humble tone he struck after his defeat in Monday night’s Iowa caucuses.
A previous tweet from Mr Trump accused the Cruz campaign of telling Iowa voters that Ben Carson was quitting the race so he could steal Mr Carson’s votes.
It’s a marked change in tone for second-place Trump, who until now said he was proud of his results considering it’s his first political campaign.
“This was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologise to Dr Carson”, Cruz wrote. In a one-on-one interview, Bush told necn that there is no such thing as momentum coming into New Hampshire.
Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate said he would forward voter fraud allegations to the Iowa GOP, which runs the caucuses (and hasn’t issued any sort of statement about the situation).
Trump doesn’t like to share the spotlight and the Cruz flap has helped him figure out a way to get back on the front page.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen with Hillary, she’s got other problems, maybe bigger than the problems she’s got, in terms of nominations, but we’ve had so many different indications, and polls that we beat her, and we beat her easily”, he said.

Asked whether the campaign planned to file a formal complaint, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said: “Wait and see”. People like Donald Trump will take advantage of a situation and make it their own.
