Sanders’ campaign says it’s outpacing Obama’s record for donations
Clinton’s brush-off of the data breach controversy underscores her confidence in a race in which Sanders is struggling to regain momentum as it shifts away from an economic message the core of his campaign to one over national security, because of attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California.

Having quickly dispensed with the voter data breach that had dominating new cycles, Bernie Sanders zeroed on his core campaign issue: income inequality.
But when Clinton, Sanders and Martin O’Malley met for Saturday night’s St. Anselm’s College debate, the mood was far less combative.
While the presidential candidates were given only an allotted time of less than six minutes for breaks, the men had one advantage – a closer restroom. Both the Clinton and the sanders teams claiming victory. “Knowing the Clintons and knowing Hillary, she made it up”, Trump said.
But it’s been a “hard sell” getting lawmakers to treat addiction to crack cocaine and other drugs associated with black Americans from a similar public health perspective, she says. Bill Curry, political columnist at Salon.com and former White House counselor to President Clinton, argues that the DNC is deliberately blocking debate and that chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz should resign as a result. But it also highlights the organizational challenges Sanders faces as he tries to turn an insurgent candidacy into a campaign that can topple a world famous political celebrity with a solid double-digit lead.
The Democrats embrace the United States of Now in all of its raucous diversity. “But it is very hard to predict the unintended consequences and the turmoil and the instability that follows after you overthrow that dictator”, Sanders, a US senator from Vermont, said of the former secretary of state.
The Sanders campaign argued that the suspension was unduly harsh because, it said, it was costing $600,000 in lost money raised per day, which the team used its voter files to harvest.
Later, O’Malley hit back: “May I offer a different generation’s perspective on this?” he said while the two older candidates gave their positions on fighting ISIS.
How the Democratic race might proceed. Sanders needs to win at least two of the first four contests, and he needs to demonstrate that he can win with the women, African-American, and Hispanic backbone of the Obama coalition. We need to have everybody in our country focused on watching what happens and reporting it if it’s suspicious, reporting what you hear.
